Dr. Evi Baniotopoulou
Dr Evi Baniotopoulou specialises in the History and Theory of Modern and Contemporary Art, Museum Studies and Exhibitions Curating. She holds a PhD in Art History and Curating (Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design), an MA in Museum Studies [distinction] (University College London), an MA in Modern Art and Theory (University of Essex) and a BA (Hons) in Archaeology and Art History (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She has presented papers in numerous international art historical conferences, such as the AAH annual conference in the UK and the CIHA quadrennial conference. She has published in academic journals, museum and exhibition catalogues and art periodicals. She has lectured at international state and private higher education establishments in Greece and abroad. Her research interests include world modern and contemporary art and architecture history, the relationship between urban regeneration and culture, exhibitions history, institutional critique and the relationship between art institutions and the art market.
